ORLANDO (WSVN) — A busted door and shattered window were left behind after the FBI raided and ransacked the wrong house in Orlando.

Federal agents along with the Orange County Sheriff searched the home for hours, but the homeowner said the man they were looking for was next door.

“They told me that because they had it as my address, that they had a federal warrant to go inside my house,” Oscar Capps said, “and I told them, ‘I’ll let you in. I don’t have a problem letting you in.'”

Capps said he tried to tell them the man they were looking for was in the home next to his, but they wouldn’t listen until they had already ransacked his home.

Eventually, authorities did turn their investigation to the home next door.

“They are saying there is nothing they are really going to do for me,” Capps said. “They are going to send somebody out to board up the windows and put a door on, so where do I go from here?”

Neither the Orange County Sheriff or federal officials have said what exactly they were looking for, or if they found anything in the home they meant to search.
