FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Six people were taken to the hospital after two cars crashed and one veered into a Fort Lauderdale home’s car port, Tuesday night.

Police said the two vehicles were in an accident, then one driver lost control and hit the car port.

Eight people were involved in the incident, according to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, including one adult who was sent to Broward Health as a trauma alert. A child also sustained minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital.

Five others were transported with injuries that were not life-threatening.

“The tires were like, screeching, and then I heard a big bomb; it went boom,” said one witness.

Police said there were no arrests. However, they were not yet sure if citations would be issued.
