SUNRISE, FLA. (WSVN) - Officials are investigating a fire that sparked at a barbershop in Sunrise, early Sunday morning.
Sunrise Fire-Rescue responded to the scene of the blaze at a strip mall near North University Drive and Northwest 28th Street, at around 4:15 a.m.
Fierce flames tore through the barbershop, but crews prevented the fire from spreading to nearby businesses, which did sustain some smoke damage.
Officials called the fire “suspicious.” It is now under an arson investigation.
