OFF FORT MYERS, Fla. (WSVN) — The U.S. Coast Guard came to the rescue of a group of boaters off the coast of Southwest Florida, Sunday afternoon.
Agents received distress calls via marine radio, just after 12:15 p.m. A crew located a capsized boat, about 20 miles off Fort Myers.
Agents pulled three adults and a child to safety. The boaters all had life jackets on and were clinging to the flipped vessel.
The boat was left behind.
