LAUDERHILL, Fla. (WSVN) — The Florida Department of Health in Broward County is offering free immunizations for children during the month of August.

Officials are advising parents and guardians to prepare for the new school year by making sure children have their required immunizations.

In the State of Florida, children entering school or childcare are required to have certain vaccines before enrolling.

The free program which starts Monday will be held inside the Lauderhill Mall at 1299E N.W. 40th Ave.

Immunizations will be offered from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. on the following dates:

Aug. 6 – 9, 12 – 14, 16, 19 and 20.

Immunizations will be offered from 9 a.m. till as late as 7 p.m. on Aug. 8 and 15. On Aug. 17, a Saturday, immunizations will be available from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m.

In order to be vaccinated, each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Immunization records for the children will need to be provided.
