FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) — Two of three suspects charged with armed robbery appeared in bond court over the weekend.

Mark McPherson and Travass Quinn were denied bond on Sunday. The duo are accused of robbing Renee's Golden Touch Jewelers at 6501 Taft Street on Saturday.

Detectives said the pair crashed their car on Johnson Street and Northwest 91st Avenue in Pembroke Pines after committing the crime. Police arrested them soon after the crash.

Back in 2011, a crook tried to rob the same jewelry store, but an employee shot him in the leg.
