The world is coming together in Doral.
Not for a sporting event — but to eat at BLT Prime at Trump National Doral.
Dustin Ward: “BLT Prime is a upper-casual steak house.”
BLT Prime is honoring the summer Olympics with its winning burger menu.
Dustin Ward: “We picked some of the top countries that do good at the Olympics and we created the Olympic burger board.”
From the opening ceremonies to closing — hungry folks during lunch and dinner can eat a burger that represents many of the summer games’ medal contenders.
Dustin Ward: “Burgers are not typically just beef. I mean, a lot of burgers are popular being beef, but here we created lamb burgers, pork burgers, Bratwurst burger and vegetable burger.
Customer: “I think that no matter what your taste is, there is something for everybody.”
From the proteins to the toppings — what goes between the buns represents countries like Italy, France and Japan.
Dustin Ward: “China is a unique burger — it’s the Great Wall burger. That one obviously has the burger itself, and then it consists of tofu marinated in soy sauce. Then we take stir fried vegetables. And we finish it off with crispy rice.”
Australia has a lamb burger and Jamaica is jerk pork.
There are nine countries and their flavors on the burger board.
Dustin Ward: “For Brazil the hosting country for the Olympics. It’s a beef patty and it consists of fried eggs, potato sticks, avocado and then the special sauce. It’s topped with a wonderful sunny side up egg.”
And you can’t forget about the good ‘ole USA.
Dustin Ward: “Gotta be a little partial to the American burger. America is known for the beef. It’s a mixture of prime beef, ground down with short ribs and a little bit of beef brisket. And then we compliment it with signature BLT sauce.”
Forget gold, silver or bronze … here it’s beef, pork, fish or veggie.
Customer: “Food is pretty much my favorite thing, so to be able to combine food and the Olympics … I think it’s a great idea.”
However — when the Olympics are done — so is this burger deal. That means — now is the time to eat the competition.
