It’s almost time for “Empire’s” fall finale. On Wednesday’s episode, Cookie’s hosting a free park concert to help Angelo appeal to the masses to win his bid to become mayor. And the FBI continues its investigation of Lucious.

Oh the drama! Oh, we can’t wait! In the meantime, here’s a preview of the finale.

Jussie Smollett (as Jamal Lyon): “I’m completely off the pills, I’m good.”

Taraji P. Henson: (as Cookie Lyon): “Good, that’s good to hear. You can give ’em to me, then.”

Jussie Smollett (as Jamal Lyon): Give you what?

Taraji P. Henson: (as Cookie Lyon): “The pills, boy! Don’t act stupid!”

“Empire’s” season 3 fall finale starts with Jussie Smollett’s character, Jamal, getting called on the carpet by his mom, Cookie.

Taraji P. Henson: (as Cookie Lyon): “I know you got some in your purse.”

Jussie Smollett (as Jamal Lyon): “It’s a ‘murse.'”

Taraji P. Henson: (as Cookie Lyon): “Don’t play with me, boy. This is not funny.”

She makes him face his major pill problem. Smollett describes the episode, which is called “A Furnace for Your Foe,” as sad and powerful.

Jussie Smollett: “Jamal has to face his demons, if you will, and really acknowledge that he has a problem, but he does that with the help of Cookie and Lucious.”

Lucious, played by Terrence Howard, gets in deep with Emily Watson, Phylicia Rashad’s new recurring character.

Phylicia Rashad (as Emily Watson): “Until a few days ago, we were running consistently behind John Meeks. Then Angelo’s numbers spiked, and now he’s two points ahead, and research shows that it’s Cookie.”

Rashad plays politician Angelo DuBois’ mother, who’s trying to help her son, played by Taye Diggs, become the mayor.

Terrence Howard (as Lucious Lyon): “They are calling it the Cookie effect. So, does this mean you are backing out of the deal now that I have fulfilled my side of it?”

DuBois, who happens to be dating Cookie, is mixed up in one crazy love triangle.

And now, with his mom involved, it’s a diabolical foursome.

Jussie Smollett: “What could possibly go badly with having Lucious, Angelo, Cookie and, Diane, Phylicia Rashad’s character, all in one place?”

Anything and everything, that’s what. In the midst of it all, the Lyon family is celebrating Christmas by not killing anyone.

Jussie Smollett: “And that, my friends, is how we are going to get you into the Christmas spirit, is by not killing anybody this season.”

Smollett says the entire cast is featured in the fall finale. After they wrap, it’s time for a holiday break.

Jussie Smollett: “I’m definitely going to spend the holidays with my family here in Los Angeles, and then I might go somewhere warm, like Miami or Puerto Rico. Something warm.”

We vote Miami. After all, it’s warm here, and just like “Empire,” we love music, fashion and even a little family drama. It’s the holidays, after all.

The fall finale airs Wednesday night at a special time, 8 o’clock, right after Deco.
