NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Firefighters have extinguished a car fire on the Palmetto Expressway in Northwest Miami-Dade.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene along the southbound lanes of the Palmetto Expressway near State Road 836 at approximately 7:20 a.m., Wednesday.
According to FHP, the driver of a beige Lexus SUV lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a guardrail, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
7SkyForce hovered over the scene where bright flames and heavy smoke could be seen billowing from the vehicle.
The driver was not injured.
