NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A man was taken to the hospital after he was reportedly shot in a busy Northwest Miami-Dade street, in broad daylight, Friday afternoon.
7Skyforce HD hovered above the scene as paramedics put the victim on a gurney, in the area of Northwest 119th Street and First Avenue, at around 3:30 p.m.
Officials said shots were fired in the area but would not confirm whether or not someone was injured.
Miami-Dade Police shut down an entire block of Northwest 119th Street while they continued to investigate.
7News cameras captured the victim lying on his stomach as he was wheeled into Ryder Trauma Center. He was holding a smartphone in his right hand.
The victim’s condition is unknown.
Witnesses said the subjects took off in a silver or gray vehicle. There is no word on a possible motive.
Police are searching for at least two suspects.
