SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A massive mural is bringing some color to Southwest Miami-Dade.
Artist Jake Munoz was commissioned to paint a large wall on the side of a Walgreens near Northwest 57th Avenue and Bird Road.
The mural stretches 35-feet high and 155-feet wide. It is filled with bright and colorful shapes of all sizes.
Munoz said the painting’s message is positivism. “It was made to cause happiness, to cause people when they see it to perk up, stand up a little straighter, shoot a little positive energy up and down their spine, to create smiles and smiles pay forward,” he said.
The self-taught artist says the mural took him two weeks to complete.
