5 men arrested, accused of selling synthetic marijuana in Hialeah

HIALEAH, FLA. (WSVN) - Five men were arrested in connection to selling synthetic marijuana in Hialeah.

According to Hialeah Police, Giovani Cepero, Ismail Bilal, Raul Acosta, Younus Farhatullah and Eugenio Munoz Hernandez were taken into custody and transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, Thursday.

Hialeah Police arrested the suspects after launching an undercover investigation under the suspicion that the men were selling the synthetic drug at numerous locations around Hialeah.

The illegal drug is often falsely marketed as an herbal incense in an effort to mislead law enforcement.

The defendants are being charged with a misdemeanor Miami-Dade County ordinance prohibiting the sale and display of the synthetic substance.
