LAKE BUENA VISTA (WSVN) –Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom shared some exciting news for Disney fans, the park will soon stay up late with new nighttime events.

Some of the new additions include a new "Jungle Book" show, which will feature music and special effects that celebrates the new film, and the classic songs, which will be infused with an Indian influence.

The park is also extending the "Kilimanjaro Safaris After Dark" attraction with new nighttime hours.

For the first time, all attractions will be open late including "Expedition Everest" and "Kali River Rapids."

A new nighttime party called the "Harambe Wildlife Parti" will now allow guests to enjoy African music, exotic foods and drinks, and explore the local marketplace, according to the park.

Disney also recently announced that the park’s iconic "Tree of Life" will now awaken in the evening. "You can expect to see animal spirits come to life throughout the evening by magical fireflies. Each scene appears to emanate from within the tree itself and reveals stories of wonder," the park said on their blog.

The parks signature restaurant "Tiffins" will also serve dinner and lunch. The new events are scheduled to launch during Memorial Day weekend.
