Distant high pressure will be responsible for the windy days across South Florida. Today will be mostly dry with increasing winds up to 10- 20 mph with gusts of 20- 30 mph. This will create beach & boating hazards, rip currents, and high surf. Strong onshore winds to continue the rest of the week.

The National Weather Service of Miami has issued a High Surf Advisory that run through Thursday evening for Coastal Broward and Miami-Dade. About 6- 8 foot waves expected creating dangerous swimming and surf conditions with some beach erosion. Also, rip current risk is high at area beaches, which means that even the most experienced swimmers can get into trouble, so it is best to avoid swimming for a few days.

As for rain, we won’t have a ton of moisture available for the atmosphere to work with. Therefore, outside of a quick-moving shower on the breeze, it is expected to be mainly dry.

Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
