Happy Wednesday South Florida!
An area of increased moisture from the Atlantic will move across South Florida and lead to another day of scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Rain chances are forecast to remain greater over the interior areas and around the Gulf Coast this afternoon and early evening. A few storms over the interior portions could contain gusty winds over 40 mph, frequent lighting and possibly small hail.
Later in the week, drier air will move into South Florida from the East and result in a fewer showers and thunderstorms on the interior and Gulf Coast locations. Rain chances slightly increase into the weekend.
South Florida is forecast to experience East to Southeast wind flow with an increased risk of rip currents. Temperatures range from the lower to mid 90’s with a heat index over 100 degrees.

According to the National Hurricane Center, we are not following an areas for development at this time.
