Got plans? This weekend is forecast to be slightly drier. This does not mean south Florida won’t experience early showers and afternoon storms. We are in a summer pattern, after all! Don’t conditions feel like summer all-year round?
Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s get through Friday first. This “finally Friday” forecast entails some pockets of moisture during the morning hours. Later on, activity will mainly focus along interior areas.
Didn’t get a chance to catch a glimpse of the Perseid meteor shower? Don’t worry, stargazers! We have 1 more bright night. While the peak was Thursday night, astronomers are still looking forward to Friday’s predawn hours (2 am – 5 am).
Expanding the topic to the Tropics, conditions are nice and quiet.
These waters won’t stay quiet for long! In fact, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reissued their 2016 hurricane season outlook. Their forecast is still calling for a near-normal to an above-normal season. Keep in mind, south Florida.. it only takes 1! Always be prepared, always have a game plan.
