South Florida have the umbrellas on hand, we have a good rain chance in the forecast. Late last night some moisture split from the area we are watching for development in the Caribbean. We will have no direct impact from it, but will continue to experience tropical downpours today and tomorrow. Most of the models show we could received close to 2 inches of rain in spots.

By Thursday, high pressure builds back into the Southeast United States and bringing with it drier air. Outside of isolated showers, the forecast looks bright going into the all important weekend.

Tropical Update:

A strong tropical wave passing south of Jamaica is moving quickly west at about 20 mph toward the northwestern Caribbean Sea. A depression or tropical storm will likely form later today. An Air Force plane is en route to investigate this area to determine if a closed circulation at the surface has formed. Regardless of development, tropical storm force winds are occurring over portions of Jamaica and will spread over to the Cayman Islands later today.

Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
