Something to Follow in the Tropics

A potential tropical storm is hovering over the Lesser Antilles with heavy rain and gusty winds. Two recon missions are tasked for Wednesday to get a clearer picture of its structure. If they can find a well organized center with winds over 39 mph, it will be named Isaias.

Timing for South Florida

If nothing changes, and many things are still very fluid with this system, we could get tropical storm force winds over 39 mph by Saturday morning.

Rain Chances

As the system approaches South Florida, our rain probability will increase. I’m sure these projections will start going higher in the days ahead.
