Conditions do appear favorable for development due to the warm ocean temperatures in the middle to upper 80’s over the central and northwestern Bahamas. That is the perfect fuel for tropical systems to blossom. Once it reaches this area, the environment may feature low-enough wind shear and sufficient moisture to allow for it to form, if it hasn’t already. High pressure will build to the north of the southeast United States which will block this area and make it travel west into South Florida. Then it will be pushed into the Gulf of Mexico where it will become a potential worry anywhere between the Florida Panhandle through Texas.

Regardless of development, heavy rain with potential of seeing flash floods and mudslides will be likely in Hispaniola.
For the Bahamas they can expect gusty winds and heavy rainfall during the next day or two.
Here in South Florida and Fla Keys, we need to keep a close eye on this system. Whether it is weak or strong, most of the models are suggesting that gusty winds and heavy rains with localized street flooding are likely. Computer models are showing that 4 to 5 inches of rain are possible for us between Saturday night and Monday.
Whether or not this system develops, moisture is forecast to increase next week. @wsvn pic.twitter.com/jMd1cwZlMh
