Happy start to the work week South Florida!
There are remnants of a cold front (not the cooling kind) across the area, while high pressure system remains to the Northeast of Florida helping the wind to blow out of the East-Southeast. The sea breeze will continue to dominate this afternoon and become the focal point for showers and thunderstorms to develop. Expect the breeze to push most of the shower and thunderstorm activity into the interior and West coast areas.
By mid-week, area of high pressure will move and shift our winds out of the South. This will make conditions a little wetter. Once the sea breeze triggers showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, they move toward the East coast. Rain chances will be between 40-50% through Thursday.
Overall, High temperatures will continue to be steamy in the low 90’s with low temperatures in the upper 70’s to low 80’s. Stay hydrated especially if you plans take you outdoors.
Tropical Update:
Although there are a few area of clouds and showers in the Atlantic Basin, we are not following any of them for development at this time.
