The combination of 3 things have been causing more unsettled weather for south Florida.   Moisture, a stalled front, and sea breeze circulations have been teaming up to bring us stormy afternoons. The next change is likely to be somewhat positive.   A stronger breeze is expected for the middle of the week.   Once winds increase from the Atlantic Ocean showers and storms will “push along more rapidly.”  Basically, any developing activity will tend to move more quickly (rather than just drift around).

Watching the Tropics:

The other important focus will be for the longer term. We’re watching a possible disturbance east of the Bahamas.  The National Hurricane Center believes there’s the potential for a tropical (or subtropical) system as we round out the week.   Regardless of development, a building area of moisture could bring us a very soggy holiday weekend ahead.   Stay tuned.
