That summertime feel will stick around for South Florida for the first weekend of Fall.

Expect a stormy setup with scattered to numerous showers and storms from inland to the coast on Friday. The combo of light winds and deep tropical moisture will elevate the risk of street flooding during the afternoon/evening hours from developing downpours.

This damp forecast will remain in place for the weekend as deep tropical moisture remains in place.

TROPICS

Tropical Storm Karl is forecast to pass east of Bermuda late Friday or Saturday morning. Additionally, Karl is forecast to become a hurricane on Saturday. A Tropical Storm Warning and Hurricane Watch is in place for the island.

Tropical storm force winds are expected for Bermuda on Friday night. Hurricane force winds are also a possibility. 3 to 5 inches of rain over Bermuda is expected through Saturday and early Sunday. Isolated tornadoes are possible on Friday.

Swells are also forecast to strengthen over the next couple of days. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.

Tropical Storm Lisa, over the Eastern Atlantic, started weakening on Friday morning. Lisa is forecast to become a remnant low by the weekend.

The forecast track keeps this storm over the open Atlantic waters as a threat to shipping lanes.
