We are looking at a wet weekend across South Florida.
A tropical wave is skirting to the south of us. On the back side of it, ample moisture will surround the Sunshine State. With the heating of the day, we can expect scattered showers and storms to fire up by the afternoon hours. This activity will stick around through the evening hours before our sunset at 8:11pm.
Hazards will include frequent lightning, anytime downpours, waterspouts and wind gusts up to 45mph with the strongest storm cells. This will also be the case for Sunday.
Models suggest Saharan dust will return by the start of the work week. We are still looking at shower and storm chances, just not so widespread and numerous.
