High pressure will keep temperatures steamy today with highs in the low 90’s and feeling more like 105 to 107 defrees. Storms forecast to develop inland. By the end of the week our pattern changes with some energy associated with the Jet Stream allowing a cut-off low to develop over Southeast Texas, Louisiana, and the Northern Gulf of Mexico by Thursday.
As this low moves Southeast, moisture increases across Florida. This will be the juice the atmosphere needs to help showers and storms fire up inland and this time around march toward the East coast.
Therefore, wetter conditions possible to close out the week.
Today in the Tropics
Earl about to become a hurricane North of the Lesser Antilles.
Danielle is slowly weakening. It should soon lose tropical characteristics as it moves over cooler water during the next day or two. It could just meander over the Central-North Atlantic as an extra-tropical low.
Broward low pressure Southwest of the Cape Verde Islands could form into a Tropical Depression in a few days while moving West-Northwest over the Eastern and Central Tropical Atlantic. Chance up to a 60% during the next 5 days.
Tropical wave forecast to move off the West Coast of Africa in a day or two could get better organized near the Cape Verde Islands. NHC giving it a low chance to form.
Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
