Tropical Update:
Area of disturbed weather near the central Bahamas is producing disorganized shower activity. Conditions do not appear favorable for significant development while it moves west-northwest at 10-15 mph. However, locally heavy rainfall is possible over portions of the central and northwestern Bahamas today, and for the Florida peninsula on Tuesday.
Low pressure located near 900 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands is producing gale-force winds, the center of circulation is not well-defined. Showers and storms continue to increase and have become a little better organized. A tropical depression or storm could form later today. This one is expected to remain only a concern for the shipping lanes.
Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
