Powerful Hurricane Matthew brought fast, and occasionally strong, feeder bands across south Florida on Thursday. However, the core of the hurricane force winds stayed well offshore (the very worst of the winds). Now, the concern has shifted to points north along the Florida coast. These additional areas may have major impacts as the system continues on its course. Meanwhile, for south Florida, the end of the week will bring less squally weather and conditions will gradually improve.
