Right Now:
We have high pressure to our East and some moisture to our South. Therefore, look for passing showers and even an isolated thunderstorm throughout today. Over the weekend, we will have less dry dusty air around. This means we will see more showers and thunderstorm activity firing up on the radar each afternoon.
***Feels like temperatures will be ranging in the 100’s, so grab extra bottles of water. Stay hydrated and if you can limit your outdoor exposure.

Tropical Update:
We are watching an area of clouds and rain associated with a tropical wave about 400 miles southeast of the Cape Verde Islands. Conditions appear favorable for this area to grow stronger while it moves west or west-northwest at 10-15 mph. Right now, The National Hurricane Center is giving it a medium chance of 40% to develop in the next 5 days. All of the models are suggesting that even if it forms into our next classified system, at least through next Tuesday it will remain in the central tropical Atlantic Ocean. We have plenty of time to watch it!
