High pressure will build into South Florida for the 4th of July. This will bring the return of a more summertime seasonal pattern.
Expect morning showers with sea breeze storms over the inland areas with a mix of sun and clouds by the afternoon and early evening hours. As of now, no boating advisories are in place. There will be moderate risk of rip currents at our local beaches. Remember, it is always best to swim near a lifeguard.
Models are suggesting Saharan dust will return to the South Florida skies as well. Those who suffer from upper respiratory issues should be on alert. This will lead to hazy sunshine with limited rain chances for the first half of the week.
Since the dust will keep the shower chances low, the blazing sunshine will also lead to an increase in daytime heat. Highs will be near record heat with added humidity making the low to mid 90s feel more like 100° to 105° in the metro and coastal areas. While the inland heat index could feel like 105° to 110°.
