Pattern trending wetter for the long weekend as high pressure gradually weakens moving East, further into the Atlantic Ocean. This will allow for lighter winds off the ocean along with more heat and humidity and if long range models are right, a front moves into Florida and moisture gets trapped across the area. This would mean rain and storms possible early next week.

Moisture levels will rise by Memorial Day with a decent chance for rain and storms by the afternoon. Good rain chance through next Wednesday.

There are two Westward tropical waves off the coast of Africa, but lots of dry air and Saharan Dust keeping them in check. The National Hurricane Center does not expect development across the Atlantic Basin in the next 5 days.

Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
