As the workweek comes to a close, the big question is whether or not your Pokédex will suffer with a wet weekend ahead. The answer is – at times and in spots. During the summer months, south Florida’s ocean breeze steers showers toward the coast in the morning and storms over inland areas through the afternoon. This is exactly what we are experiencing each day and what we can expect for the highly anticipated weekend.

Not only should you pack an umbrella during your hunt for rare/wild Pokémon, but also grab a water bottle and wear light-colored clothing. It’s going to be hot! In the past few mornings, south Florida has had warm wake-up calls with above average temperatures. More of the same is to come.

Why do temperatures feel so much hotter? Blame it on the humidity. In addition to temperatures reaching the 90s, high humidity values increase the heat index to the 100s.
