This will keep the temps and heat index soaring through Friday as the feels like temps remain in the triple digit range.

Additionally, easterly winds will stir up our typical summertime pattern of overnight/morning coastal showers and inland afternoon/evening storms. Models suggest this summer setup will stick around for the weekend.

By next week, a tropical wave near the Greater Antilles will bring a surge of deep moisture to our forecast. If this fickle (prone to easily falling apart) feature holds together, we could see scattered showers and storms by Tuesday.

TROPICS

A tropical wave off the west coast of Africa is producing a large area of clouds and showers. While it is disorganized for the time being, the National Hurricane Center is giving this feature a medium chance for development over the next 5 days.
