NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - An NFL player partnered with a local rapper to hold a training camp for local children.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski teamed up with rapper Flo Rida and his charity Big Dreams for Kids to hold a training day. Saturday.

Kids got the chance to catch passes and work on drills with Gronkowski at Ives Estates Park in Northeast Miami-Dade.

Gronkowski also passed out words of wisdom during a meet and greet. “We’re just telling them what it takes, and you gotta be successful in school in order to make it to the next level all the time,” Gronkowski said.

Flo Rida didn’t make the event due to a concert, but the Pro Bowl tight end kept the camp’s adrenaline pumping. “To have him come out from way in New England to Miami is kinda crazy — it’s fun,” said one child.
