* IMPACTS…Strong rip currents will be hazardous for those in
the surf zone along Atlantic Beaches.

There is a high risk of rip currents.
Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins, jetties
and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.
Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don’t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

Warning…which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EDT
this evening.

* Wind…20 foot wind around 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* Humidity…Lowest RH values around 30 to 35 percent for several
hours this afternoon.
* Impacts…Any fires that develop will likely see extreme fire
behavior. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can

Satellite images and traffic cameras early this Sunday morning
are showing patchy dense fog across parts of interior South
Florida. Visibility in a few spots may fall to around one-quarter
mile. Drivers are advised to use caution near areas of fog. Slow
down and use low beam headlights. The fog should dissipate by
around 9 AM.

tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Hollywood
to 10 miles northwest of Miccosukee Resort. Movement was east at 40
mph.
* Funnel clouds may be possible with these storms.
* Locations impacted include…
Miami, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood,
Miramar, Davie, Miami Beach, Plantation, Sunrise,
Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Surfside, Hallandale, Miami Gardens,

Oakland Park.
