PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. …FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT THIS EVENING… * WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of southeast Florida, including the following counties, Southeast Broward and Northeast Miami-Dade. * WHEN…Until 830 PM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 626 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen during the last hour from the slow moving thunderstorms. – Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area during the next couple of hours from the slow moving thunderstorms.
