MIAMI (AP) — Restricted free agent running back C.J. Anderson is visiting the Miami Dolphins, who need a replacement for Lamar Miller.

The visit Thursday, Anderson’s first in free agency, was a small victory for the Dolphins because he’s being courted by other teams.

Anderson, a three-year veteran, rushed for 720 yards last year for the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos. They would have five days to match any offer from the Dolphins.

New Miami coach Adam Gase was offensive coordinator for the Broncos and Anderson in 2013-14. The Dolphins lost Miller when he agreed to a free agent deal Wednesday with the Houston Texans.
