MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) – Miami quarterback Stephen Morris left the 16th-ranked Hurricanes game against Savannah State on Saturday night with an undisclosed injury to his right leg.

Morris was hurt with 8:51 left in the opening quarter and Miami already leading 14-0. He was down on the turf briefly before walking to the sideline unassisted, though with a pronounced limp. He took a seat on the trainer’s table and continued getting checked out by Miami medical personnel, who were looking at his lower right leg.

After a few minutes, Morris walked off the field and into the stadium’s locker room level, presumably for further examination.

Ryan Williams replaced Morris, and Miami scored a touchdown on his first series of the night.
