CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) – Miami has dismissed offensive lineman Taylor Gadbois from the football team.

Gadbois was at one time expected to be in the mix for a first-string spot this season and possibly could have been the Hurricanes’ starting left tackle. But he was facing as much as a five-game suspension for violations of team policy, had other disciplinary issues and eventually the Hurricanes decided to simply part ways with the 6-foot-8, 320-pound redshirt junior.

Gadbois expressed his disappointment with the move on Twitter, telling followers that “this was not my decision.”

Gadbois started Miami’s first five games at right tackle last season, before missing the remainder of the year because of injury.
