LATROBE, Pa. (AP) — Steelers linebacker James Harrison says he won’t cooperate with the NFL as it investigates a report that he and three other linebackers in the league used performance-enhancing drugs.
The NFL’s senior vice president of labor policy and league affairs sent a letter Monday to the NFL Players Association detailing a plan to indefinitely suspend Harrison, Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers of the Packers and free agent Mike Neal if they don’t speak with the league by Aug. 25.
Harrison says he won’t answer questions just because of a report. He said he doesn’t want to be suspended, but adds he is prepared to take the situation as far as Tom Brady did.
