MIAMI (AP) — Gerald Green scored 13 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter, Dwyane Wade scored with 40.8 seconds left to put Miami up for good and the Heat topped the Washington Wizards 110-105 in a preseason game Wednesday night.
Marcin Gortat scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Kris Humphries added 16 points and 12 rebounds for Washington.
WIZARDS: G John Wall jumped over a row of courtside seats in the first quarter, landing on his feet. … Washington led by 16 early…. G Bradley Beal was held out to rest.
HEAT: Tyler Johnson scored 14 points and Miami’s bench outscored Washington’s 67-30. … Chris Bosh tried nine 3-pointers, matching what would have been his career high. … Rookie F Justise Winslow was held out with leg tightness.
STAR WATCH: Wade had 10 points in 27 minutes. Wall had 14 points in 25 minutes.
UP NEXT: Both teams close the preseason Friday, with Washington playing Toronto in Montreal and Miami going to New Orleans.
