MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) - The Miami Dolphins are getting ready to take on the Cleveland Browns in the first regular season game at the Hard Rock Stadium.

After two loses to the Patriots and Seahawks, the Dolphins are now playing on their home turf. “I’m excited, just excited to have the opportunity to play in there,” said Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry. “You know, there’s nothing like trying to get a W, start the new season with a W.”

Led by head coach Adam Gase, the team’s plan is not to just get their new head man a first win but to also get their first victory at the newly renovated stadium. “Guys are executing the way that we want them as far as practice goes. Now it’s just we have to translate it to the game,” Gase said. “We gotta be on our assignments, we gotta make sure that we don’t have any mental errors or any kind of hiccups going across the board.”

The stadium underwent a $500 million renovation. Now, a winning game for the Dolphins in their home town will be determined. “I think we just have to focus on the game that’s at hand,” said Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. “We can’t do anything about the other two weeks. They’re in the books, in the past., so we gotta come out and be focused and be ready to make a statement at home.”

For the second consecutive week, Miami will face a backup quarterback. However, they know no one in the NFL should be taken lightly. “We played against a third string quarterback last week. He did very well. You know, the NFL’s the best of the best, so we’re not gonna take it more likely than we would any other day,” one player said.

The Browns have only won one away game out of their last 11.
