DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Miami Dolphins rookie cornerback Xavien Howard is sidelined by a knee injury for the second time this year.

Howard sat out practice Wednesday after being hurt in Tuesday’s workout.

Coach Adam Gase said the injury wasn’t major, and didn’t rule Howard out of Sunday’s game against Tennessee.

Howard, a second-round pick, missed the first three-plus weeks of training camp recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. He would be replaced in the starting lineup by Byron Maxwell, who was benched last week for poor play.
