MIAMI (WSVN) - The Miami Hurricanes football program may be getting a generous donation, according to CaneSport.com, from a source within.

According to the report, head coach Mark Richt announced at a booster event in Chicago last week that he will donate $1,000,000 towards the construction of an indoor practice facility.

Richt’s hopes for an indoor facility when he was head coach at the University of Georgia fell through, which helped motivate his need for one in Miami.

When speaking about an indoor facility, Richt said in a Palm Beach Post report, “I’m very confident it’s going to happen.”  He added, “in some ways it’s been approved, with maybe a few more hoops to jump through. I’m not sure how it all works, because every university’s different. But it’s rolling down the track really fast. I think it’s going to happen pretty quick,” Richt said.

University of Miami Athletics Director Blake James, also, told the Palm Beach Post the indoor facility will cost upwards of $20,000,000.
