OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — As bad as it looked for the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, it’s just one game. No need to panic. No need to make wholesale changes to what got them back to the big stage.

That was LeBron James’ message to his team a day after a dispiriting 104-89 loss to the Golden State Warriors. James says “you don’t just throw everything away over one game.”

They don’t have to look that far back for inspiration. After losing Game 1 of the finals last year, the Cavaliers beat Golden State in Games 2 and 3. And James has won his last nine Game 2s after losing Game 1.

Game 2 is on Sunday in Oakland.
