All proceeds from the advertising agency’s debut children’s book, titled “Clarence’s Greatest Gift,” will go to long-time partner, NPCF.

TAMPA, FL, September 3, 2024 — Advertising agency PPK has launched a project to raise funds to fight pediatric cancer through its first-ever children’s book, Clarence’s Greatest Gift, which is now available for sale at ClarencetheCloud.com. The project launches just in time for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September and will run through the end of the year, with the aim of donating $10,000 to long-time agency partner National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF).

Clarence’s Greatest Gift was designed and created entirely by PPK, written by Creative Director and Writer Nick McMurdy and Illustrated by Art Director and Illustrator Alan Schneller. Written for children ages 5-8, it tells the story of happy-go-lucky rain cloud Clarence, who must find his purpose after inadvertently ruining a big party and being cast out. Ultimately, the book tells a story of inclusion that highlights the importance of seeing value in everyone, especially oneself, and encourages people to see the good in others.

“This book was born of our team’s passion for giving back to our community,” said PPK President Garrett Garcia. “The importance of celebrating unique talents and backgrounds is deeply ingrained in our agency culture, and we’re so proud to make a difference in our community with a project that reflects those values and celebrates creativity. We can’t wait to do some good with our partners at the national Pediatric Cancer Foundation in the coming months.”

To raise further awareness for the project, PPK is hosting a giveaway of exclusive Clarence’s Greatest Gift merchandise, with four lucky winners (one each week) receiving a themed tote bag and pins during the month of September. Website visitors can enter once daily to increase their chances of winning and all visitors will also have access to a free downloadable coloring sheet featuring the book’s characters.

The agency is also holding several book readings at children’s hospitals both locally in the Tampa area and in New York City to share Clarence’s message of positivity and inclusion with young patients.
