The week is off to a rainy start.  Already, many parts of south Florida have picked up a couple inches of rain (or more).  The persistent rainfall even created areas of flooding (Monday) across southern Broward County and northeastern Miami-Dade.  While we’re expecting a break from the widespread rain… additional rain bands could result in more street flooding.  By the way, the deepest moisture now remains across the Keys and Straits, as well as the southern and central Gulf of Mexico.  The tropical moisture may not stay suppressed (south and west) all week.  Some of the longer range forecast models have it punching back in our direction by Thursday.   Daily rain and storm chances are expected, which is typical for these days in the Rainy Season.  However, if a disturbance near Mexico continues to organize, we could see more significant rain in south Florida, again… by the upcoming weekend.  Stay tuned!
