After a picture perfect weekend with mostly sunny, dry conditions and mild temperatures, more of the same is underway this Monday. High pressure has held steady over our weather pattern the last few days and little by little it will start to weaken. The tail of the big mess impacting the middle Atlantic states will try to make it here on Tuesday and temperatures will be a little warmer.

More significant changes are set to take place on Thursday and it all depends on the timing of another cold front. Computer models suggest this one will not be the cooling kind of cold front, but it will be loaded with moisture. The big question, how much rain will we get? It depends at what time in the day it crosses through and how much cloud cover builds ahead.

If the front crosses through during the prime heating of the day in the afternoon, there could be lots of thunderstorms. However, if it passes through in the evening, the lack of heat will limit the amount of rain that develops. We will continue to monitor the latest model runs and adjust the forecast accordingly.

Have a wonderful week South Florida and make it a safe one!
