MIAMI (WSVN) - President Obama and Vice-President Biden will not travel to Cuba for Fidel Castro’s funeral, a White House spokesman said Monday.
“I can confirm that neither the president nor the vice president will attend,” said spokesman Josh Earnest.
Earnest said the White House would announce soon whether the U.S. would send a delegation for the former dictator’s memorial service.
Cuba is marking Castro’s death with nine days of mourning, including a rally in the Plaza of the Revolution on Tuesday.
