GILROY, Calif. (AP) — A California high school chemistry teacher has appeared in court on accusations that he posed as a teenage girl online using an adult film actress’ photos to lure teen boys into sending him sexually explicit pictures and video.

The Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office said Monday that 25-year-old Douglas Le of San Jose tricked at least nine high schoolers with the fake profile.

Prosecutors also said Le traded texts and photographs with the teens through Facebook’s messaging app.

Deputy District Attorney Jaron Shipp said Le is facing 20 charges, 19 of which are felonies. He could face more than eight years in prison if convicted. He did not enter a plea in Monday’s hearing.

An attorney for Le wasn’t listed and efforts to reach him were unsuccessful.
