CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — A stabbing at a medical clinic in the western Canadian city of Calgary on Thursday left one person dead and several others injured, police said.
There was no immediate information on a suspect or what the motivation for the attack may have been.
Several lanes of a major city street have been blocked off as officers investigate the Thursday afternoon attack.
Emergency Medical Services spokesman Stuart Brideaux said first responders declared one adult dead at the scene. He said a woman in her 50s was taken to hospital with a minor soft-tissue injury.
The area is on the northern edge of the city’s Chinatown district.
