CHICAGO (AP) — Police say a Chicago elementary school was evacuated after a custodian threatened to “shoot the school up” during an argument with a co-worker.

Police spokesman Kevin Quaid says officers escorted students, parents and teachers out of Ebinger Elementary School on Chicago’s northwest side following the threat Monday afternoon.

Quaid said the employee, who he described as a temporary custodian, made the remark before he leaving the building following a verbal altercation with another employee.

He said police know the identities of those involved and are investigating.
